This is a pretty interesting story, and am praising God with the person who told it, that God has done something really tremendous in her life, in response to her following hard after Him. This kind of single-minded, single-hearted focus on the Lord is what the Bible is talking about.
I do have this one caution: those who are not healed (and remember, every single one of us is going to die from something God does not heal) should not automatically feel (or be judged by others) as "not having enough faith."
God is sovereign, and He is not to be coerced by us "having more faith" or quoting more scriptures, or wanting it more, or by any other thing we do or say. We have no leverage with God. Every healing, every gift, every goodness is purely a gift of grace from heaven.
That said, it is by all means true that some things come only with concentrated prayer, and sometimes will come only with fasting and prayer. This is not because the "thing" is very pricey, so we have to pay the cost, it is for us. God puts into our lives an amazing variety of situations designed to strengthen and deepen us. Check out this prayer in Ephesians 1:17-19, and even more so, Ephesians 3:14-19
The amazing grace of the Lord, Jesus Christ, the extravagant love of God, the intimate friendship of the Holy Spirit, be with you, Joanne
Yes, I love to hear encouraging stories esp if it pertains to something I have. I called the prayer line today to pray about this. I have had celiac disease since 2003.
Hello, I am a Christian and I live my life for Jesus Christ. I am only here because of him. I am an active man that loves to get things done. I enjoy working out at the gym and watching some NFL games. I also enjoy writing Godly Poetry.
